Maison was formed in the fall of 2014 with the customer as our main focus.  We differentiate ourselves from the competition by standing by our commitments and going the extra mile to ensure that our clients' wants and needs are heard, and achieved.  We strive for the ultimate level of attention to detail, professionalism, dedication, and vision throughout the design and construction process.  Working with clients to establish specific goals and timelines, we custom tailor our approach by project. About Kenneth M. Kostecki - President

Kenneth is the founder of Maison Construction & Renovations, a Richmond, Virginia based construction and renovation company dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high quality residential projects. With a background in Engineering and Technical Sales, Kenneth spent 14 years working with Fortune 500 companies, including Newell Rubbermaid and GE, where he developed a strong foundation in problem solving, project management, and client focused solutions.

While he valued the experience, Kenneth was driven to build something of his own, combining his technical expertise, business acumen, and passion for construction. After personally completing multiple renovation projects and experiencing firsthand the challenges of working with disorganized contractors, he saw an opportunity to bring a more professional, detail oriented approach to the residential construction industry.

In 2014, he founded Maison Construction & Renovations with a mission to help homeowners bring their ideas to life through a process that is both structured and collaborative. Kenneth believes that great construction is equal parts precision and vision, creating spaces that not only function well but also inspire daily living.

Kenneth holds a degree in Composite Materials Engineering and an MBA, and has called Richmond home since 2008. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Zoey, and their dog, Dusty, as well as kayak fishing, golfing, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.

  • General knowledge of construction is helpful, but not necessary

  • Ability to accurately measure and calculate square footages / materials required

Qualifications

  • Lead Carpenter Candidates MUST be highly experienced carpenters and have at least 10 years of hands on construction carpentry / renovation experience. Candidates with Intermediate levels of experience will be considered for general carpenter positions.

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese also beneficial.

  • Must have own basic tools, and reliable transportation.

Hands on Skills:

  • Framing

  • Trim carpentry

  • Doors and windows

  • Light electrical and plumbing

  • Other relevant renovation/ construction skills
